Eligibility & Language Requirements

To be eligible for studies at the Department of Law or Stockholm University's Business School, you must be registered as a student with one of our partner institutions and been nominated by a partner university. As all courses are taught in English, you will be required to have sufficient knowledge of the English language. We do not require to see any language test results but students whose mother tongue is not English are recommended to have at least a level of B2-C1, or equivalent of an overall IELTS score of 6.5 or an overall TOEFL score of 575 (paper-based/100 internet-based).

Step-by-step guide

1. Home university nominates students via an online nomination form.

2. Students receive email with link to an online application form; this is filled out before the deadline 10 April, 2019.

3. Students pay the costs of the summer programme before the deadline of payment in April (exact deadline will be given with application information).

4. Once payment is received a letter of acceptance is sent to student via email.

he fees charged are related to costs for housing, class materials and social events etc.; no tuition fees are charged for students from our partner universities. Since the schedules for the courses are designed to enable the students to participate in two courses each two week period, we encourage the students to sign up for as many courses as possible during their stay to make the most of their visit to Sweden from both a knowledge and social perspective.

2-week stay (1-4 courses): 8000 SEK

4-week stay (2-6 courses): 16.000 SEK

6-week stay (3-9 courses): 24.000 SEK

The following is included in the fees:           

  • Housing in single rooms. Information about the accommodation           
  • Wireless internet on campus, wired internet in the accommodation    
  • Welcome and farewell dinner       
  • Public Transportation card for 1 week.                   
  • Social and cultural events                               
  • Company visits
  • Insurance

NOTE! Food and travel card for public transportation are not included in the fee.

Pre-arrival information

As soon as you have received your Letter of Acceptance from the international coordinator, you need to start looking into some important aspects of your stay, such as your visa and insurance.
