The EEL programme focuses on the law of the European Single Market at the heart of the EU integration project, while also studying the interplay between constitutional and economic law.
EIPL examines intellectual property from a pan-European and international perspective. Students can specialise in patents & trade marks, or copyright & transborder conflicts.
The EL programme centers on transboundary dimensions and cross-cutting issues of environmental law and adds to Stockholm's particular place in transboundary environmental law and governance.
ICAL emphasises putting theory into practice, taking full advantage of Stockholm’s resources as an international centre for arbitration. Students hone their legal research skills and complete a mock arbitration.
Our new IL programme is an advanced level programme which seeks to give students a profound knowledge of both general public international law and selected branches of the field.
SULaw has an active exchange programme at advanced level. Students from our partner universities will take courses in English together with Swedish students on Year 4 of their law programme.
Our international summer programme gives students from our partner universities the opportunity to learn more about EU and International law, while also discovering a wide range of current issues in business from SBS, Stockholm Business School.
Stockholm University offers two tracts to becoming a lawyer practicing in Sweden. The most common track takes 4.5 years. There is a special track reserved for people who already hold a law degree from countries outside Europe and takes 2 years. Both require a high level of proficiency in Swedish.
