Dr Angela Ward will be speaking in Stockholm of the role of the EU Charter of Fundamental Rights in the development of anti-discrimination law. Her presentation would be of interest to people involved in advising and practicing in this field of law, along with academic researchers.

Dr Angela Ward is the co-founding editor of the Cambridge Yearbook of European Legal Studies, and has practiced law at the bars of England and Wales, the Republic of Ireland, and South Australia. She is the author of over 30 academic works on EU law and human rights, including “Judicial Review and the Rights of Private Parties in EU Law” (OUP 2000 and 2007) and as one of four editors of “The EU Charter of Fundamental Rights; a commentary” (Hart, 2014). She is working on new editions of both publications. She has held a range of academic post, including one in which she was Deputy Director of the Centre for European Legal Studies at Cambridge University, along with honorary chairs at University College Dublin and London University. She commenced working as a referendaire at the Court of Justice of the European Union in 2011.
