  • SULaw alumna named one of this year's stars by Forbes 2021-04-15 Every year, the internationally renowned magazine Forbes publishes a list of prominent young people under the age of 30. SULaw alumna Evelyn Kachaje is featured on the 2021 list thanks to her contributions to the UN World Food Programme Youth Network.
  • New book about Animal Law and Animal Rights 2021-03-23 Volume 67 of Scandinavian Studies in Law on Animal Law and Animal Rights will be released on 29 March 2021. A Digital Book Release and Seminar will accompany the launch of the volume.

Patricia Shaughnessy, docent in procedural law at Stockholm University, has contributed to a newly published book,” International Arbitration and the COVID-19 Revolution”.

  • The Department of Law will offer two new one-year Master programmes starting in 2021 2020-09-16 Commencing next academic year, Stockholm University’s Department of Law is excited to announce the start of two new master programmes, one in Public International Law and one in Environmental Law. The application round for these new programmes, along with our three other LLMs, will open on 16 October 2020.
  • Swedish Team Wins Nordic Law Competition 2020-08-21 The 2020 final results of the Nordic Court Competition on Human Rights were announced on 13 June this year. First place went to team Club Södermark which consists of six law students from Stockholm University.

  • Professor Czarnezki - a public intellectual who wants to empower the environmentalist youth 2020-01-07 The holder of the 2020 Olof Palme visiting professorship is Jason J. Czarnezki, professor of environmental law at the Elisabeth Haub School of Law at Pace University, USA. During his stay, he will be active mainly at the Faculty of Law, Stockholm University. He will focus on environmental and social justice, the interaction between civil society and sustainability and the impacts of environmental harm on peace and security.

  • Stockholm Pre Moot 2019: challenging but fun 2019-04-08 The Stockholm Pre-Moot for the Willem C. Vis International Arbitration Moot was held over the weekend of the 5-7 April 2019. The event was organized by Stockholm University, the Arbitration Institute of the Stockholm Chamber of Commerce and the law firm Mannheimer Swartling.
