  • Professor Czarnezki - a public intellectual who wants to empower the environmentalist youth 2020-01-07 The holder of the 2020 Olof Palme visiting professorship is Jason J. Czarnezki, professor of environmental law at the Elisabeth Haub School of Law at Pace University, USA. During his stay, he will be active mainly at the Faculty of Law, Stockholm University. He will focus on environmental and social justice, the interaction between civil society and sustainability and the impacts of environmental harm on peace and security.

  • Stockholm University excels in international student Moot competition! 2019-04-24 Last week a team of law students at Stockholm University competed in Vienna at the 26th annual Willem C Vis Arbitration Moot, the largest and most prestigious international student Moot competition, and achieved placing in the top 16 teams of 372.
  • Stockholm Pre Moot 2019: challenging but fun 2019-04-08 The Stockholm Pre-Moot for the Willem C. Vis International Arbitration Moot was held over the weekend of the 5-7 April 2019. The event was organized by Stockholm University, the Arbitration Institute of the Stockholm Chamber of Commerce and the law firm Mannheimer Swartling.
  • The Stockholm Pre-Moot is approaching! 2019-04-02 The 26th Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot will take place in Vienna in mid-April. In preparation for the competition, Stockholm University, with the collaboration and sponsorship of Mannheimer Swartling and the Arbitration Institute of the Stockholm Chambers of Commerce, will host the “STOCKHOLM PRE-MOOT 2019”.
  • Department of Law hosts Law Schools Global League Winter Academic Conference 19 February 2019 2019-02-14 The Department of Law is honoured to host the annual meeting of the deans in the Law Schools Global Leagues (LSGL) here in Stockholm on 18 February 2019. In conjunction with this event, the LSGL is also having its first annual Winter Academic Conference with the theme “Global Social Justice”, open for everyone interested.

The event was organized by the Office of International Affairs and the Center for Legal Studies (CILS), with help and sponsor support from several law firms and the ICAL Alumni Association.
